
Juan José Porras
He graduated from Francisco Marroquin University in 1993. He is an Attorney at Law and Notary and also is a founder partner of Palomo & Porras. He studied a master degree in International Relationships at the Francisco Marroquin University. Currently, he is a Legal Adviser of the Board of the Chamber of Industry of Guatemala (CIG); also he is a Senior Director of the bank “Credito Hipotecario Nacional de Guatemala” (CHN); he is an Arbitrator appointed by the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala for Free Trade Agreements.
He also provides political-legal strategical advisories to entities and national and international companies. He has a wide experience in International Trade matters because he participated as Negotiator in the Free Trade Agreements with Mexico, Chile, CAFTA and ALCA, and also in different forums in which competence policies, controversy remedies and dumping matters were discussed.
